ADRIAN FELIX WAS A RISING STAR IN THE COLORADO DEMOCRATIC PARTY When he decided he had enough and left and the party. He didn't have some right wing revelation, he's still a died in the wool lefitist progressive but he became very disillusioned with party politics and decided to leave. I'll talk to him today about the choice, why he made it and what's next for him and other young progressives who feel the same way. He's on at 1pm.

THE 13TH FLOOR HAUNTED HOUSE IS UP AND RUNNING And I've got the General Manager Nicholas Melton on at 2:30 to see what jump seekers can expect this year. Buy your tickets here.

JARED POLIS GETS HIS REVENGE ON OIL AND GAS IN COLORADO By passing a slew of new regulations that border on absurd. Remember when Jared Polis was apoplectic about a fracking rig next to his vacation home? Well now he's gotten his revenge by appointing a bunch of environmentalists to the Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) and they have passed a bunch of new rules, including one that would have prevented the fracking in the first place. Read this from the Denver Gazette:

The rules require operators to meet strict new standards regarding cumulative impacts of past, present and future oil and gas development to be permitted to develop new mineral resources, beginning Dec. 15, 2024.
New rules define cumulative impacts as the effects on public health and the environment, including the impacts to air quality, water quality, climate, noise, odor, wildlife, and biological resources caused by the incremental impacts that a proposed new or amended operation … would have when added to the impacts from other past, present, and future development, according to the commission.

Got that? So they ARE burdened by what has been now. The industry knows who wrote these rules, and it's people who hate oil and gas and they are designed to shut down a very important industry in our state.

THOMAS MASSIE EXPOSES THE CDC LIES And Sharyl Attkisson's got a new book out about the lies told during covid. Listen to this exchange for your head to explode.

I'm going to try to get Sharyl on the show to discuss the book soon.

THIS IS SOMEONE'S CRAZY IMAGINATION, AMIRIGHT? From New York:

But I'm sure it's just a handful of robberies. I'm sure.

THAT HORRIBLE PERSON WHO ABANDONED HIS DOG IS FACING CHARGES If you didn't see the X post where troopers in Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton found a dog tied to a post in standing water I'm glad, it was infuriating. Now the owner of the dog is facing animal cruelty charges. Good.

A SICK DOUBLE STANDARD ON DEATH This is a great column by Sean Duffy about a recent event he spoke at where abortion advocates cheered about ending the life of a baby human while other advocates broke into tears about the thought of killing a mountain lion. It shows how successful the abortion industry has been at sanitizing their killing industry. It's really, really sad.

THE MEDIA DESTROYED ITSELF And they have no one to blame for the fact they are the LEAST TRUSTED civic and political organization surveyed by Gallup. Trust in the mass media rebounded slightly after 2016 but the blatant partisanship showed against Trump has pretty much destroyed it again. What would have to happen to make you trust the media again? Is there anything? We need a functioning media to hold people accountable and what we've got is a cheer squad for one party.

THE NEW YORK TIMES SHOWS WHY PEOPLE DON'T TRUST THE MEDIA By publishing an Op-Ed by a staunch anti-Israel clown in which he purports to show that children are being shot in the head in Gaza by Israeli citizens. They even provided xray "evidence" in the column. The bad news is the xray "evidence" is badly faked and has been completely debunked by military and firearms experts. This is a story and a good thread that debunks the whole thing.

So of course the New York Times issued a retraction...hahaha of course they didn't, they doubled down by assuring us they fact checked everything.

And they wonder why we hate them.

AND THEN THEY SHOW AGAIN By not only downplaying Kamala Harris's plagiarism by saying it was "not serious" and then calling the man who uncovered it a racist. And they wonder why we hate them.

AND NOW A LITTLE COMEDY FROM DERRICK STROUP He's the guy from yesterday and he's very funny.

TRUMP ON ECONOMICS He sat down for a hour with the Economic Club of Chicago and it's worth your watch. Kamala declined to sit down with them. I wonder why.

THEY LEARNED TO CODE AND NOW CAN'T GET JOBS The tech industry has been laying people off after Elon Musk demonstrated how much fat exists in tech by laying off a bunch of Twitter employees. Now college graduates are finding out that getting a job isn't the cake walk it used to be. Rather than going to work for Big Tech, these young graduates are having to look for jobs in tech in non-tech companies. Read more here.

YES, CORPORATE LANDLORDS JACK UP RENTS At least in San Diego where Blackstone bought a bunch of units and jacked up the rent prices by 38%. In their defense Blackstone says they've made a lot of repairs and improvements to the properties so they can get higher rent. I fully expect corporate landlords to find themselves in the crosshairs of politicians very, very soon.

YES, RETURN TO OFFICE IS ABOUT CONTROL There is nothing new in a new study of why companies are beginning to require Return to Office policies for their employees. They may say it's about productivity or connectivity or whatever, but the real reason is managerial control. From TheHill.com:

Are managers using return-to-office mandates as a diversionary tactic, to shift blame for poor organizational performance away from strategic or managerial shortcomings and onto the workforce? Ma and Ding find support for this hypothesis in a correlation between return-to-office mandates and poor stock performance. This may indicate that such mandates serve as an excuse for underperformance to shareholders and the market, despite their questionable efficacy in addressing the root causes of the underperformance.
The research also suggests that return-to-office mandates reflect a desire among certain leaders to reassert control and authority within the organization. That’s particularly true in cases where CEOs exhibit power-seeking behavior, as measured by the gap between CEO pay and the salary of the next-highest-paid executive officer.

Yep.

HOW HAMAS INFILTRATED EUROPE This is a great column that we should all pay attention to, as Europe has shown suicidal tendencies when it comes to white guilt over colonization in the past. This column shows how Hamas has taken hold there.

IT'S TIME TO TALK ABOUT THAT HIGH RISK POOL FOR INSURANCE When I heard JD Vance talking about creating a special high risk pool for really sick people I was super excited because this would solve SO MANY health insurance problems. By subsidizing it with government funds, we can get the high consumers of health care the help they need WITHOUT cost shifting the burden to healthy insurance customers. Read how it could work here.

RAIN MAY HAVE STARTED LIFE And you can read the theory here, but I'm not sure I'm buying what they are selling just yet.
