THE COLORADO GOP IS TRYING TO BOOT DAVE WILLIAMS Because his chairmanship has been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster. The Colorado Sun has a long story on here about how Williams abused the party and it's funds for his own personal attempted gain (he failed) and what is happening to get him out. There is a meeting this Saturday called by Todd Watkins, and El Paso Republican who initially supported Williams but now has serious buyer's regret. Todd joins me at 12:15 to talk about it. WAS THE DEBATE THE BEGINNING OF THE COUP? That's what the New York Post is reporting based on a "source close to the family". The Post says Democrats behind closed doors threatened to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from office if he didn't drop out. Remember we wondered after the debate how Democrats didn't see that coming but maybe they did and that was the plan all along? It's the ONLY reason to have a debate THAT FAR AWAY from the election, isn't it? Because this is what they were after all along? The only fly in the ointment seems to be Biden's immediate endorsement of Harris, which set off a cascade of endorsements that seemed to make her the presumptive nominee. That same source says Dems wanted Arizona's Mark Kelly instead. We'll see. Oh the tangled web they weave...
HERE COME THE KAMALA LEAKS I am starting to feel like a gossip columnist reporting stuff like this but I'm guessing this isn't the end of the intraparty sniping by a long shot. This column says Biden was so concerned about Harris's ability to beat Trump he didn't want to drop out. They also go over her high staff turnover and anxiety about a lousy dinner with friendly media guy. This is going to be nuts.

WHO IS BEING VETTED FOR VEEP? The list is here, but notably off the list is Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky, which I find hilarious as Beshear has been out and about to make sure everyone knows he's a bigger hillbilly than JD Vance.

WHY HASN'T OBAMA ENDORSED YET? This breezy column says it's no biggie, Obama just doesn't want to influence the process. Okay, but the process is rolling along like an out of control train so why not? To be clear, there is no doubt in my mind that President Obama will endorse whoever the nominee is, but I still think it's odd he's sitting out this one so far.

IF YOU'RE FLYING DELTA YOU MAY WANT TO MAKE OTHER PLANS At least until the end of the week, as this seems to be Delta's week for a complete meltdown. They are the only major carrier to STILL be dealing with the internet outages of last weekend and no one seems to know why. The issue is with the crew tracking system they use to find pilots and flight attendants for various flights. Delta says they are working furiously to fix the issue, but to expect cancellations to continue for the week.
