ONE MORE THING ABOUT HOW BAD THE COLORADO GOP LEADERSHIP IS I know, I know, you may think I'm beating a dead elephant here but there is SO MUCH MORE to tell when it comes to the clown show that is David Williams (did you see that Colorado RINO Watch? Am I on the list yet?) and I've got Kelly Maher on to talk about her complaint to the FEC about the mailer sent out by Williams to benefit his campaign using party money, PLUS we've got some juicy bits on the so-called "resolution" Williams shoved through at Assembly that is in direct conflict with the actual bylaws of the party, which I bet he hasn't read. WHERE DO TRUMP PRO-LIFERS GO NOW? And I mean this as a genuine question after he came out yesterday and said he did not favor a federal abortion ban and believed it was a state's issue. He started by affirming his support for IVF before he punted abortion to the side. For what it's worth, I agree with him on this. This is the statement.
But where does this leave people who vote on a pro-life platform with every vote? Many of them are Trump supporters and this has to be very disappointing for them. But where do they go? There is no serious candidate on the ballot demanding a federal abortion ban now. That being said, there is a ZERO percent any Democrat will do anything but work to expand abortion benefits to the day of birth like we have on Colorado. They are working right now to codify abortion rights into the Colorado Constitution. Is voting for someone who is at least pro-life in theory going to cut it? When I have candidates on there is always a few people who ask if they are pro-life and then if the answer is anything other than they want a total ban the texter says "sorry, they lost my vote" or some such thing. Those candidates can't get elected in statewide office in Colorado. They can't. Not at this point. So what to pro-life voters do now?
DEMOCRATS DEMAND A GROUP DROP DEMOCRATS FROM THEIR NAME In a bit of "mad with power" the state party is calling on a group they don't like to change their name. Sorry, they are DEMANDING this group change their name. What is so offensive about this group? It's called Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender and they are against gender affirming care for children and young adults, which we know is at odds with the Democrat Party which increasingly seems like they want to make every gay kid trans. Their organization just wants to follow actual science and make sure that everyone clearly understands the risks associated with gender affirming care, which are significant. This is beyond the pale for the Colorado Democrats, who are demanding the group remove Democrat from their name. Good luck with that, and man is this a bad look. DIAG said it best when they responded:

Yes, indeedy they would be. Colorado Democrats can demand in one hand and poop in the other and see what fills up first.
FIRST PICKLES, NOW THEY GOT BUTTERCUP! Another adorable, cute, and cuddly baby cow has been mercilessly slaughtered by the apex predator wolves that liberal voters brought back to the state. This one, named Buttercup I've heard, got ripped to shreds in Jackson County where it probably suffered terribly before it died. Colorado Parks and Wildlife are reminding people that this was NOT their idea so please don't blame them for the massacres which will surely continue.

And then I awake to this story about another fire that was put out under an overpass in Arvada. Who are you going to sue if a bunch of homeless drug addicts set your house or business on fire? The answer is no one, and sorry your stuff is gone apparently. We've got Xcel Energy leaving people in the dark so they don't set fires but we don't have such restrictions on homeless encampments. That makes sense, doesn't it?
THE NAIA BANS MEN FROM WOMEN'S SPORTS Even if they've decided they are women. It was a 20-0 vote so the message was pretty clear. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics voted in a policy that only students who were assigned the female gender at birth could compete in women's sports. The new policy also blocks transgender women or nonbinary students who are receiving masculinizing hormone therapy. We'll see if the NCAA does the right thing. They issued this statement:
"With the exception of competitive cheer and competitive dance, the NAIA created separate categories for male and female participants," the NAIA said. "Each NAIA sport includes some combination of strength, speed and stamina, providing competitive advantages for male student-athletes. As a result, the NAIA policy for transgender student-athletes applies to all sports except for competitive cheer and competitive dance, which are open to all students."

I'M NO WOLF FAN BUT THIS IS DISGUSTING My father was always firm that we hunted to eat, not to show off. Animals that didn't die immediately were quickly dispatched to end any suffering they were going through. And then we ate them. This man in Wyoming hit a wolf on his snow machine and then bound it's mouth so he could take it to a bar to show it off while it was still alive before shooting it behind the bar. This is horrible and animal cruelty and he paid just $250 in penalty.

The poll found that 48 percent of respondents said they would not consider buying an electric vehicle — up 7 percentage points than those who said the same in 2023. Thirty-five percent said in the latest survey they might consider purchasing one, and 9 percent said they were seriously considering it.
The new poll also found that the percentage of Americans who said they owned an EV ticked up slightly in 2024, with 7 percent saying they have one. Last year, 4 percent said they owned an EV.
The good news is in the second sentence, that more of us actually own an EV than before, but have we reached peak ownership numbers already? Tesla stock is down because sales are.
