FOUR MAYORS TALK BIG ISSUES I wish I had known this forum was happening because I would have loved to see it. Four mayors from Aurora, Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs spoke to the Chamber about the big issues facing Colorado. They seem to all agree that the housing defect laws changed years ago have devastated the condo market, which is an important option for entry level homeownership. They did disagree on the approach to homelessness, though they recognize that some of the issues need to be addressed on a regional or statewide level. Read more here.
WE'RE GOING TO BROADEN AROD'S NEW WINE PALETTE As the The Wine Yogi will be in with some very affordable "beginner" wines for people like Arod who are just developing a love for wine. Arod is bringing in sugar free Red Bull to *gasp* mix with wine and I've promised to taste it with an open mind. The Wine Yogi has written a great blog with all the information about these wines here, though she has held back the names until ARod does his blind tasting on the air. She will add them later.
POLIS MAKES ANOTHER GARBAGE APPOINTMENT Can we talk about how bad some of our Governor's appointments have been? From the vegan being appointed to the livestock board to an appointment to a horrible pick for Chief of Corrections who failed miserably at his former job in Alaska where they have the highest rate of recidivism in the country, and now he's appointed someone who ISN'T a hunter or fisherman that anyone knows to be the "sportsman" representative on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission. Gary Skiba isn't a hunter, but he's been a driving force behind wolf re introduction in Colorado as well as a bunch of other environmental movements. Hunter and fisherman are NOT happy. I think people are overlooking that one of the other new members practices "animal law" which started with the animal protection movement, while the other new member helped co found Urban Wildlife Rescue to humanely remove animals that find themselves in the urban area. He specializes in humane responses to wildlife issues, so he could be anti-hunter or not, I have no reason to believe he is until he starts to vote. These feel like Marlin picks to me.
THE MARXISTS ARE SUCCEEDING IN DESTROYING THE FAMILY In order for Marxism to truly work they must destroy the nuclear family. We've seen BLM come out and embrace the notion full throatedly before they got called out on it and removed the page from their website that said:
'We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
But they are winning. A new poll shows that Gen Z and millennials think marriage is an outdated concept, even as they say they want to get married someday. What's funny to me about this is when millennials get married, they tend to STAY married and this has caused a big drop in the divorce rate, which is primarily driven by baby boomers, who made divorce a thing as they focused on themselves and their own happiness over the happiness of their kids and families.

A TROLL IS COMING TO VICTOR I absolutely LOVE stuff like this. Colorado's Breckenridge troll, a giant sculpture made of natural items, is getting a companion in Victor. Danish recycle artist Thomas Dambo is creating the woodland friend in Victor as part of a program nationwide and we're lucky we're getting another one here! WHY HUNTER BIDEN'S DEAL WENT POOF This column does the best job of explaining why the judge would not accept the sweetheart deal offered to the President's son. Essentially the deal was structured in such a way that it would have shielded Hunter Biden from further prosecution for ANYTHING, including his clearly illegal foreign meddling and influence peddling. We're lucky this case came before this judge.

I am NOT a doctor but a doctor told me the following trick and I've used this system for YEARS. If you are chronically backed up, take Vitamin C in high doses. Start with 2000 mg in the morning but be ready to hit the potty because when you reach "tolerance" YOU WILL POOP. If that doesn't work, take 3000 the next day until you hit "tolerance", and know this, you will poop DRAMATICALLY. If that doesn't work, add another 1000 mg a day until you hit tolerance, but be warned, when you have to go, YOU HAVE TO GO, so don't do this and go on a hike. I do this when I'm travelling because my guts get all mixed up when I'm not in my routine. Vitamin C at those doses makes your muscles of your intestines contract. Once you hit tolerance, back down 1000 mg and take that daily to keep things moving. You're welcome.
