RON DESANTIS'S ANNOUNCEMENT WAS A BIT OF A DUD Between the 20 minutes of technical issues and having a man not known as a great communicator host the event, this was a bad choice. Compare this to Tim Scott's upbeat rally full of political supporters. This was a dumb move.
Former President Trump posted a video that is on the one hand hilarious, but also so obscene I can't post it here without violating IHeart's guidelines on web content. I can link to it, and that is here. Though funny, it's another example of why I think Trump is not fit for office. Can you imagine Reagan sharing a video with GD and the F word in it? There is no dignity in Donald Trump and I'm done. We'll see how DeSantis recovers from this.
THE TEACHERS UNION DEFENDS ITS MARXIST MEMBERS The Marxist Colorado Education Association finally spoke out about their anti-capitalist resolution at their latest meeting and it's a doozy. The union president had this to say:
“This is a space where elected member educators adopt resolutions — belief statements for the organization — similar to election year Republican or Democratic party platforms,” Baca-Oehlert said of the union’s 97th Annual Delegate Assembly. “Recognizing that our members reflect our state’s diverse views and perspectives, these resolutions reflect our members’ aspirations in our collective endeavor to create a safer and more equitable world for Colorado’s students, educators, and communities, and do not require any action from the organization.”
She also went on to blame people who understand economics who were upset that teachers were so bloody ignorant about the horrors of socialism and communism have made this an issue, saying, "“anti-public school forces intentionally seized on this one resolution to distract us from the real issues facing our students.” I'm fine with the seizing, as when someone shows you who they are you must pay attention.
When you visit your kid's school this fall, be sure and ask their teachers if they support this CEA resolution. I think it's important to know if your kid is learning from a marxist.

ANOTHER WHISTLEBLOWER SAYS THE WHITE HOUSE PROTECTED HUNTER BIDEN He was formerly the lead investigator on the case into Hunter Biden's alleged tax evasion until he was yanked from it in what he says is retaliation. He says the Department of Justice "slow walked" the investigation and did not follow proper procedure. He said this in an interview on CBS News, which surprised me, as I'm not sure they have heard of Hunter Biden.

THE 1ST BANK CENTER IS GOING UNDER As the Broomfield City Council decided to demolish the 13 year old building because it's a money loser and needs significant maintenance. What's interesting about this is that the Pike's Peak Center in Colorado Springs is also a money drain, but the Commission there is holding steady for fear of incurring more costs if they break a lease agreement. These are great examples of what happens when government runs things.

THE EPA GETS ITS HANDS SMACKED this is a HUGE victory for limited government and it's about damn time. In a case that has been lingering since 2008 the Supreme Court has finally put an end to Sackett v EPA. The case was about the EPA essentially claiming that private land with ANY tangential connection to ANY waterway of the United States was under their purview. The Supreme Court said no. BLM spent about $12 million of those funds on luxury homes in Los Angeles and Toronto. That profligacy did not abate in the 2022 fiscal year, when the charity dropped more than $10.5 million on contractors, much of which went to companies linked to Cullors’s friends and family.
Cullors’s brother, Paul Cullors, made out especially well. A graffiti artist with no prior experience as a bodyguard, Paul Cullors and his two companies raked in $1.6 million providing "professional security services" for Black Lives Matter in 2022. Paul Cullors was also one of BLM’s only two paid employees during the year, collecting a $126,000 salary as "head of security" on top of his consulting fees.
Black Lives Matter disclosed last May it had paid Paul Cullors a comparatively meager $841,000 to protect the charity’s swanky $6 million Los Angeles mansion in its 2021 tax year, which Patrisse Cullors used to film herself baking peach cobblers. The charity told the Associated Press it could not entrust its security to the former police officers that staff typical private protection firms.
It was always just a grift.

THE FBI HASN'T HAD TIME TO READ THE DURHAM REPORT this is the least shocking news of the CENTURY. When the FBI’s deputy assistant director of counterintelligence was asked in a hearing last week was asked about the report, which showed a high level of malfeasance by the FBI, she said she had neither read it nor been briefed on it. There needs to a complete housecleaning at the highest levels of the FBI and it needs to happen now. Of course it won't, because they are playing the role of do-boy for the Democrats.
