A new survey shows that 51% of college students get their news and even academic help from TikTok. That would be fine if TikTok wasn't run by Chinese communists who most assuredly are curating the sort of information that these kids get access to. OH LORD HELP THE GOP IF THESE PEOPLE GET ELECTED A horrible, horrible thing is happening to the Republican party all over the country. Leadership positions are being grabbed by Trumpets who want to re litigate the 2020 election rather than provide a solid alternative to the disastrous policies of the Democrats. I could happen here too, as the indicted Tina Peters is running to head the party. Thankfully, there is another past-looking Trumpet running too, so maybe they will split the vote and lose. If the Colorado GOP elects a woman currently under indictment they deserve what they get. And I can assure you I will be out as soon as she is elected, as will many other Republicans who would rather talk about a path forward for the party and Colorado.
OH, LOOK COVID WAS A LAB LEAK At least according to the Department of Energy, who was studying this for some reason. I love how NBC News leads with the "low confidence" part of the story and completely ignored that the FBI came to the same conclusion with "moderate confidence". Could it be that parent company Comcast also owns lots of entertainment that they want to sell to the huge Chinese market? One has to ask.
THE SHADOW OF CALIFORNIA IS A WARNING FOR COLORADO But I know none of our Democratic overlords are paying attention to this excellent column by Michael Shellenberger, the former environmentalist turned alarm bell for his home state. His book San Fransicko should be required reading for anyone who wants to run for office here. This column about the fall of California and what it has become under progressive nihilistic leadership is EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE HEADED NOW. I can't state this enough. Read here, and gird your loins.
THERE IS A HOMELESS CRIME SPREE AT THE AIRPORT and this isn't something I would have worried about until I got this email from a listener.
The next time either of you interview the powers that be, or the Mayoral candidates, ask them about the massive homeless problem at DIA, including large amounts of theft of food from the restaurants (as well as the food that is contaminated by the theft and has to be tossed), the theft of personal belongings (purses, wallets, shoes, clothes), and the restaurants that have been broken into or vandalized by the homeless.
My (sic) wife works at DIA at one of the food stand in the main concourse, at least twice a week, they have homeless try to steal food when they aren’t looking, on one occasion, while her back was turned, one guy reached into the bagel case, stole two bagels, but rifled through 10 to get to those two. They had to throw out all 10, as his hands were black with grime, possibly feces based on his smell. Another time, a TSA worker bought a homeless person a cup of coffee and a bagel, he got mad because they didn’t have the bagel he wanted, so he spit at the TSA worker and threw the cup at the worker before running off.
For Christmas, my wife’s Aunt bought her a pair of Freebird boots, since they have a traction sole, my wife decided to wear them to work, then change into her regular work shoes at the airport. Later in the day, as she’s getting ready leave, the bag containing her boots as well her purse was missing, her winter jacket was missing as well (she found it stashed behind a trashcan), a couple hours later, a janitor at DIA found the missing bag, the boots were gone, my wife’s purse was rifled through (money, a debit and a credit card, and her health insurance card were missing) but still in the bag. In November, my wife’s winter coat was stolen and never recovered, we bought her a new one a couple days later, that one was almost stolen the day her boot bag was stolen.
A couple weeks back, a family sitting nearby having a snack before heading through security, one of the homeless tried to steal a drink cup from one of the children, when the family yelled at him to get away, he started to threaten them, then ran off when DPD approached.
Another restaurant had several hundred in food stolen from a case by the homeless while the workers were in the backroom getting other items ready to bring out and stock for the day. This happened twice, they now have to keep some food items stored in the back at all times unless someone orders it.
You bet I'll be asking about this. You bet.
THE 16TH STREET MALL IS THRIVING OR DEAD, DEPENDING ON WHO YOU ASK I have to give it to coffee guy in this article, he's selling the 16th Street Mall hard. The problem is, he's the only one, with pretty much everyone else in this article talking about it being in a death spiral. The next time I got to Downtown Healthcare's downtown office, I will give it a looksee for myself.
A FORMER HUNTER BIDEN COHORT IS ABOUT TO GIVE UP THE GOODS And we shall see what "the goods" are when Dr. Gal Luft, an Isreali who worked with Hunter Biden and the Chinese energy firm that paid Hunter Biden $6 million for unspecified deals in the US that apparently never came to fruition. The company is so closely enmeshed with the Chinese Communist government as to be "indistinguishable" from it according to CNN. Now Luft has been arrested in what he says is an attempt to discredit him and the information he provided to the Department of Justice in 2019 detailing the Biden FAMILY business with the Chinese. This isn't just about Hunter. Now he says he will give that same information to the Congressional committee investigating the Biden family. This may be interesting.
