Read that sentence again and tell me we're doing enough about the homeless problem. It didn't get there by accident, it got there because people are smoking meth in the bathroom. What if your kid goes to that branch and has to use the bathroom? Is this what is okay in Boulder now? A DISGUSTING RN LEADS TO A HUGE LAWSUIT This story is horrifying to me and honestly my nightmare. A nurse in Grand Junction abused maybe THOUSANDS of patients in the ICU and THEN RECORDED IT ON HIS PHONE to use later for sexual gratification. Now there is a class action lawsuit in place against the hospital and it's gonna be a doozy. This monster is already facing charges but I want to know HOW he was found out. Did he SHARE these photos and videos? If you were an ICU patient at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction in the last ten years you need to read this story and perhaps call this attorney. So, so gross.

IF MICHAEL SCOTT OWNED A SPORTS BAR This is so utterly cringeworthy. Aurora City Council member Steve Sundberg owns a sports bar in Aurora and before he was elected to the City Council he made a series of EXTREMELY cringey videos to promote his sports bar. In them, he adopts the accents and language of various ethnic minorities in such a way that...ugh. It reminded me of this so hard.

J&B WHISKEY GOES FULL TRANS IN ITS LATEST AD I find this ad...weird. Just super weird. Watch it and then we can discuss.
On the one hand, it's obviously designed to show that acceptance is important, which is good. But why is everything trans now? And is the whiskey crowd really the trans crowd? Maybe, I'm not sure. All that being said, this is a message, not a commercial and I'm sick of being told how to live by an ad. Sell me a product or don't, but enough already with this crap sent out to virtue signal.
THE DEMOCRATS FURTHER WEAPONIZED THE IRS The Dems on the House Ways and Means Committee used a rule about looking at confidential tax information as an excuse to release Donald Trump's tax returns. I honesty don't care about Trump's tax returns, but this seems shady as you know what to me. I found this part of the Wall Street Journal story to be especially entertaining:
The Internal Revenue Service hasn’t completed the Trumps’ audits for any of those years, and Democrats contended that the agency was too slow and timid in how it handled the complex, sensitive tax returns of Mr. Trump, particularly during his presidency.
The committee used a provision of the tax code that lets lawmakers on the tax-writing panel review otherwise confidential documents and make them public in a report.
“I voted to reinforce this critical principle: No person is above the law, not even a president of the United States,” said Rep. Brendan Boyle (D., Pa.), a committee member.
So the Dems say no one is above the law, but the statute they used to justify this doesn't really give them the power to from where I'm sitting. From the actual statute:
(f)Disclosure to Committees of Congress(1)Committee on Ways and Means, Committee on Finance, and Joint Committee on Taxation
Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the Secretary shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request, except that any return or return information which can be associated with, or otherwise identify, directly or indirectly, a particular taxpayer shall be furnished to such committee only when sitting in closed executive session unless such taxpayer otherwise consents in writing to such disclosure. (emphasis mine)

I would be you my paycheck that Trump did NOT consent to such a disclosure. On the other hand, if this is the beginning of a new day of transparency I would like to see the exact trades and stocks held by every member of Congress, wouldn't you?

SHOCKER: GOVERNMENTS ARE USING COVID TRACKING FOR A BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF This story is what so many warned about when we were told to "sign up" for covid tracking programs. I did not. In come countries like Israel it was required so citizens had no choice. Now some citizens are realizing that their government is now using that tracking for nefarious purposes, including to put activists on notice when they go somewhere the government doesn't want them to go. The practice made headlines at the start of the pandemic when the Israeli government said it would be deployed for COVID-19 contact tracing.
A year later, the Shin Bet quietly began using the same technology to send threatening messages to Israel’s Arab citizens and residents whom the agency suspected of participating in violent clashes with police. Some of the recipients, however, simply lived or worked in the area, or were mere passers-by.

LOW LIBIDO COULD MEAN EARLY DEATH FOR MEN And guys, there is NO excuse for suffering in silence, we've got like three advertisers who can help with this. A new study shows that men with low libido are almost TWICE as likely to die from any cause earlier than they should. This is really interesting but it has to be hormones, though whether or not it's a lack of testosterone doing these things, or the things like drinking and not exercising causing low libido the study does not address.
