It didn't matter against whom. It didn't matter how.
All that mattered was the Denver Broncos found a way to win.
The Broncos rallied to defeat the Arizona Cardinals, 24-15, on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High.
Denver trailed 6-3 at halftime and 9-3 early in the third quarter before the offense got in gear behind back-up quarterback Brett Rypien, who got the start in place of the injured Russell Wilson.
Rypien led the Broncos on a seven-play, 80-yard touchdown drive that Marlon Mack capped with a three-yard run to give the Broncos a 10-9 lead with 6:02 left in the third quarter.
The Broncos then built on that lead with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The first came on a 10-yard run by Latavius Murray before Rypien found Eric Tomlinson from three yards out with 9:33 remaining in the game. That score made it 24-9 Broncos.
Rypien completed 21-of-26 passes for 197 yards with the touchdown and one interception. Murray rushed for a season-high 130 yards.
The Broncos defense intercepted three passes for the second straight game. Safety Justin Simmons had two picks and cornerback Pat Surtain had the other one.
The Broncos snapped their five-game losing streak and are now 4-10. The Cardinals lost their fourth straight game and are also 4-10.
