Grover Norquist Breaks Down Journalism Competition and Preservation Act

Grover Norquist is an absolute fixture in Washington DC policy and politics, at least on the Republican side. He's the founder (at Ronald Reagan's request) and president of Americans for Tax Reform. We're gonna get in the weeds today about a bill called the “Journalism Competition and Preservation Act” (JCPA) which Democrats were trying to jam into the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which funds our defense department. This is the kind of law that perfectly represents how you should always assume that claimed Democratic good intentions are always actually plays for partisan advantage.

Congress Should Keep JCPA Out of the NDAA - Americans for Tax Reform (atr.org)

Here's the text and other info. You know since it came from Amy Klobuchar that it's a wolf in sheep's clothing, just like she is: Text - S.673 - 117th Congress (2021-2022): Journalism Competition and Preservation Act of 2022 | Congress.gov | Library of Congress
