The search for offense continues for the Denver Broncos.
Sunday, the Broncos fell to the Tennessee Titans, 17-10, in a game in which they could only muster 10 points.
As has become a familiar script for the 2022 Broncos, the defense did its part. The Broncos held the Titans to 307 yards of total offense and limited star Titans running back Derrick henry to just 53 yards rushing on 19 carries, an average of only 2.8 yards per attempt.
But as has been the case all season for the Broncos, the offense could not do any better than a 66-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to Jalen Virgil and Brandon McManus' 39-yard field goal. the Broncos only had 313 yards of total offense themselves and committed eight penalties for 50 yards. After jumping up 10-0 in the second quarter, the Broncos could not build on that lead.
Eventually, Tennessee overtook Denver on Nick Westbrook-Ihkine's second scoring catch of the game. That came with 5:14 left in the third quarter and gave the Titans a 14-10 lead.
The Broncos lost offensive lineman Billy Turner (knee) and Graham Glasgow (shoulder) to injuries. Tennessee sacked Wilson six times.
