Jerry Sonnenberg filed a complaint asking for a look into whether or not our Governor, who signed sports betting into law, profited from that decision while not talking about his investments into the industry. It seems like something we would look into if a Republican were in office, but the Dems voted to kill the investigation because it's an election year.
DENVER POLICE OFFICER SHOT BUT OKAY And the murder suspect they were trying to bring in is dead after shooting at the cops. The officer was shot in the neck but is doing okay.
ANOTHER CHILD DEAD FROM FENTANYL And another loser parent is charged with exposing her children to the drug that is still a misdemeanor because Colorado Dems are worried that drug dealers will have to go to jail. This woman was dealing fentanyl from her hotel room when someone mistakenly let her kids come to visit. Her twelve year old daughter took some fentanyl and is dead now. I sure hope they charge her with a misdemeanor so her mother has a chance to just get it together. That last line was angry sarcasm.
HEY LOOK, DR. FAUCI GOT RICH DURING COVID! Color me shocked about this one. During the pandemic, when Fauci led the charge to shutdown real businesses, churches and family gatherings, he was nearly doubling his net worth, sometimes with the help of "awards" given to the man for his political work on Covid. Read the story here, and know that he will NEVER be held responsible for the damage he has wrought on this country. I wonder if someone who lost everything could sue Dr. Fauci? If we can sue cops now, why can't we sue him?

OUR KIDS ARE IN CRISIS AND DYING BECAUSE OF IT Colorado's numbers for teen suicide, drug overdose deaths, and homicide are shockingly bad. The Denver Post does a deep dive here, but check some of these stats out:
In 2010, there were about 47 deaths for every 100,000 people between the ages of 15 and 19 in Colorado. By 2020, that had risen to a rate of 76 per 100,000, a 62% increase, according to the annual Kids Count report.
Drug overdoses had the highest increase of the major causes of death among teens. The rate more than tripled, from 3.8 per 100,000 in 2010 to 14.9 per 100,000 in 2020. They had been slowly increasing until 2019, then more than doubled in a single year.
The age-adjusted rate of overdose deaths for all Coloradans nearly doubled from 2018 to 2021
The rate of teen deaths by suicide increased about 88%, from 11.5 per 100,000 in 2010 to 21.6 per 100,000 in 2020
The rate of death by homicide rose by about 82%, from 5 per 100,000 in 2010 to 9.1 per 100,000 in 2020. Unlike drug overdoses and suicide deaths, there was no year with a clear jump: violent deaths have been rising gradually since 2016, though, fortunately, they haven’t yet reached the heights seen in the early 1990s.
Only one candidate for Governor is talking about this at all and it's not our current Governor.

Now that the ex-NFLer has been exposed for working with corrupt politicians to redirect welfare money into a volleyball arena at his alma mater, we now find out he directed funds from his non-profit to the booster clubs of that school and another instead of helping kids, which is what the money was supposed to do. Shame, shame on Brett Favre. I hope he gets in a ton of trouble for all of this, although his reputation is in shreds anyway.
