A day after introducing Quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver media, new Broncos Defensive Lineman D.J. Jones met the media as well. Wednesday he signed a 3-year, $30 Million Deal, with $20 Million fully guaranteed.

After chasing Wilson around for the last 5 seasons, he wasted no time talking about how much the new Denver signal-caller factored in to his decision to choose the Broncos over other suitors, "I felt like this was home from the jump, especially when they made the move on Russ," Jones said. "I knew that’s where I wanted to be. The Culture before Russ. The culture now with him being here....This organization is top tier, and I’m just excited to be here.

In 5 seasons in San Francisco Jones certainly made his bones as a run stuffer. In fact, Pro Football Focus rated him as the 2nd best run stuffing defensive lineman against the run, but he had no problem talking about his athleticism. "I wouldn’t call myself a D-End or anything," Jones said. "I might have got some feet from my father. I like to attack the ball wherever it is. It was something that was instilled in me from an early age. I like to move all over the field.

And he knows the possibility his new defense, and is excited about what they can do. "Dominance…I expect complete dominance, stop the run, then have fun after that. 3rd down get to the quarterback," he said. "That’s what I expect."

Jones has been in striking distance of winning a Super Bowl, but was on Injured Reserve when the 49ers made their run in Super Bowl 54 and last year, they were a few plays away from a trip to Super Bowl 56, coming up just short against the eventual champions Rams in the NFC Title Game. While Jones admits the financial stability of his new deal is nice, winning a ring is what it's all about for him, "I’m itching man, I’m itching to finally play in the big game. It’s gonna take steps, I feel like they’ve put something together here that’s eventually gonna put us on top."
