THE CDC HAS A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO And the fact the Washington Post is demanding to see the science behind the new mask recommendations is encouraging. They are asking the same questions I asked yesterday, which is WHERE IS THE DATA? From the article, which is paywalled:
New recommendations from federal health officials this week on when vaccinated Americans should don face masks came with a startling bolt of news: People who have had their shots and become infected with the delta variant of the coronavirus can harbor large amounts of virus just like unvaccinated people. That means they could become spreaders of the disease and should return to wearing masks indoors in certain situations, including when vulnerable people are present.
But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not publish the new research. In the text of the updated masking guidance,the agency merely cited “CDC COVID-19 Response Team, unpublished data, 2021.”
Some outside scientists have their own message: Show us the data.
“They’re making a claim that people with delta who are vaccinated and unvaccinated have similar levels of viral load, but nobody knows what that means,” said Gregg Gonsalves, an associate professor at the Yale School of Public Health. “It’s meaningless unless we see the data.”
The article goes on to reference studies that are referenced in this CDC release. The study that seems to fit the description of what Walensky talked about is from India. It's unpublished, unreviewed, and a study of people TAKING A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT KIND OF VACCINES. The CDC says the data will be published "imminently" but that's not good enough. We need to see what they are seeing and we need to see it now. Read the article here if you subscribe.
THIS LAST FLIP FLOP IS THE DYING GASP OF THE CDC'S CREDIBILITY This is a GREAT column about how stupid and poll and editorial driven the CDC is while they manage to ignore science all over the place. The CDC is a political body, not a scientific one, no matter what they tell you. In this pandemic, they have reduced themselves to an eye-roll worthy organization whose trust has been utterly eroded for many Americans. Except Democrats who believe government run by Democrats can do no wrong.

IF YOU WORK IN HEALTHCARE IN THE METRO, YOU WILL TAKE THE VACCINE Or not have a job. The VA already announced it's mandate, so if you work in healthcare, you are probably going to need the shot. UCHealth and Denver Health announced Wednesday they will require all employees, providers, volunteers and partners to be vaccinated for COVID-19 by the fall. We'll see if all the other providers follow suit, but I'd be shocked if they didn't. If you're working with the sick, some of whom have covid, this isn't crazy. And for those of you who are going to tell me that this is against the Nuremberg Agreement, they will not be held down and forced to comply, they will simply have to find another job if they don't want the vaccine.
THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE GETTING THE DELTA VARIANT And I made this handy chart to show you why the people getting the delta variant are exactly the people we need to get the delta variant. The data is the latest available on the Colorado Covid website as of yesterday, from July 18th. It clearly shows that the vast majority of new cases are occurring in the people most likely to handle covid like a boss, especially children. This is very helpful in achieving herd immunity and putting this thing to bed. But no one is talking about this.

So much so that a former president of that board who spoke at the tony Dalton School this year called parents fighting back against CRT "white supremacists" and compared them to the maniacs who stormed the Capitol. Private schools are being forced to adopt curriculums that are even more onerous than some public schools are adopting. THE DEMOCRATIC DENVER DA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HIGH CRIME RATE According to Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen at least indirectly anyway. His officers are arresting the same violent felons over and over again and they are being released with little or no bail. Many of them for gun crimes that the Legislature keeps telling us they are fixing as they put more burdens on law abiding gun owners. The DA's office lied and said they ask for high bonds, but video footage of court hearings showed them to be liars. They did not respond to this news story with answers, but this is what happens when Democrats put criminals first, as they have been since last summer while they hammer cops. If you have evidence that any Republican policies or politicians are to blame, please share it and I will blame them too, but the Dems own this crime wave all over the country. This is EXACTLY what George Soros was hoping for when he spent millions to get soft-on-crimes DAs elected all over the country.
