COVID-19 CASES MAY BE RISING DUE TO THE DELTA VARIANT AND VACCINATION RATES MAY BE STALLING ACROSS THE COUNTRY.... BUT COLORADANS ARE SHOWING AN INCREASED INTEREST IN TRAVELING AGAIN. A NEW REPORT FROM TRIPLE-A SAYS 71-PERCENT... NEARLY THREE-QUARTERS.... OF COLORADANS ARE READY TO TRAVEL DESPITE THE ONGOING PANDEMIC.

REPORT DATA:

--71 percent of Coloradans feel more comfortable traveling now than they did three months ago.

-- The last three quarterly AAA Travelers surveys showed increasing comfort levels and decreasing worries about COVID-19.

--In January, 71 percent of Coloradans reported concern about contracting COVID-19, and 39 percent felt comfortable traveling.

-- In March, 57 percent of Coloradans reported concern about contracting COVID-19, and 47 percent felt comfortable traveling.

-- In June, 41 percent of Coloradans reported concern about contracting COVID-19, and 77 percent felt comfortable traveling.

Top reasons Coloradans feel confident traveling:

-- Received their COVID-19 vaccination (52 percent)

-- More confident in safety measures being implemented (32 percent)

-- Less afraid about the dangers of the virus (26 percent)

TRAVEL IMPACT ON VACCINATIONS:

-- Of those who already or plan to be vaccinated, 51 percent say travel was a motivating factor
