Broncos Begin Off-Season Conditioning Program

Monday marked the beginning of Phase 1 of The Broncos (and entire NFL's) Off-Season Workout Program. Despite a statement from the team last week via the NFLPA, a number of players did show up to the UCHealth Training Center to workout. There is no on-field work allowed in Phase 1, it's simply conditioning and meetings, all of which are to take place in a 4-hour window. As Benjamin Allbright reported, there was 100% attendance of the virtual team meetings. Quarterback Drew Lock was among the players who did workout in-person at the team facility as well.

Because some players workout at the facility as they live in town, it's hard to determine who was there, as part of the Phase 1 of the program, and who was just there working out. Some players including Lock and Dalton Risner have workout bonuses tied to their attendance, and some have likely been encouraged by their agents to attend, in order to receive that bonus.

On March 31, The NFL Released a Memo Detailing its updated workout protocols for the 2021 Off-Season:
