The Broncos are releasing TE Nick Vannett after just one season. Last Spring Vannett signed a 2 year, $5,700,000 contract including a $1,750,000 signing bonus with $2.5 Million guaranteed. The move saves a little less that $2.7 Million this season, and carries a minimal dead salary cap penalty of $875,000.
In his lone season in Denver, Vannett caught 14 passes for 95 yards and 1 Touchdown. Used primarily as a blocker, Vanett played 391 snaps or 34% of the offensive snaps in 15 games of action.
