A mea culpa from Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, who had encouraged people not to travel over the holiday weekend, then did so himself.
The mayor flew to Mississippi to be with his wife and daughter for Thanksgiving. He says he did not want them to travel, but followed his heart rather than his head, apologizing to Denverites who heeded his advice and stayed home for the holiday.
