The Colorado State Patrol has identified the two people killed in a car crash Friday evening on Highway 2 in Commerce City. Troopers say Curt Holland, 37, an on-duty Commerce City police officer, was killed. The other victim was Francesca Dominguez, 31.
The crash happened when a pick-up truck crossed the center line and hit Holland and Dominguez's vehicles.
Fructoso Rosales-Cano, the driver of the pick-up, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police say alcohol and excessive speed are possible factors in the crash.
