MAYOR HANCOCK: Denver's Stay-At-Home Order Now Runs Through May 8

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock speaks on Friday, April 24.

Friday, Denver Mayor said he is extending the city's COVID-19 stay-at-home order through May 8.

He said more time is needed to ramp up testing efforts. The city's goal is to test 1000 people per day in addition to testing those people who are showing symptoms of the coronavirus.

The Mayor said he would rather err on the side of saving lives as opposed to rushing to get the city open.

Full remarks from the Mayor are below.
