Final State Senate Vote Expected Today On Death Penalty Bill

A final vote is expected today in the state Senate on a measure that would repeal the death penalty in Colorado. It was given initial approval by the full chamber yesterday. That's despite protests by some lawmakers who wanted to let voters decide. Today's vote would move the bill over to the state House, where it has strong support. The measure also has the backing of Governor Polis. There are currently three prisoners on death row in Colorado.
