It appears legal sports gambling is coming to Colorado. Supporters of Proposition DD declared victory yesterday afternoon following Tuesday's election. The measure appeared to pass by a slim margin. Operators of existing casinos in the state will be allowed to apply for licenses for on-site or online betting. There will be a tax on proceeds, which will go toward water projects in Colorado. It's estimated that revenues from sports betting will bring in as much as 29-million-dollars a year. Wagers can start being placed as soon as next May.
