NASA Wants Six Orion Spacecraft From Lockheed Martin

NASA and Lockheed Martin have finalized a contract for the production and operation of six Orion spacecraft missions. The deal is worth an estimated $4.6 billion. The Orion is designed to take astronauts to the Moon and safely back to Earth. Its crew module and systems are reusable.

In 2024, the spacecraft is schedules to take the first woman and next man to the Moon.
