She survived a car accident as horrific as one could fathom. A dump truck blew a tire on I-25 in Denver and slammed into the SUV driven by her husband and occupied by her parents. Her father died in the accident, her mother and husband both seriously injured. She barely survived, with burns on an astounding 95% of her body. She had both legs and one arm amputated and spent a record 425 days in a Denver hospital.
