A recommendation by Denver Public Works to change the rules for dockless, electric scooters is heading to the full City Council. The ordinance change would prohibit the use on sidewalks. That means riders would have to either use the scooters on the street or in bike lanes. The changes were referred by committee yesterday to the full council for consideration later this month. Electric scooters are currently allowed on sidewalks when bike lanes or low speed roads aren't available.
