A wounded man is in custody after a shootout with a Denver police officer in the Five Points area. Officers were called to the one-thousand block of 25th Street last night after a call about a suspicious person who seemed to be looking for a way to enter houses in the area. An officer tried to make contact with someone matching the suspect's description, but that person ran. After a foot pursuit, police say the suspect turned and fired on the officer, who fired back. About a half-dozen shots were exchanged before the suspect was injured. No officers were hurt.
