Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar has a new contract extension. The team announced the two-year deal yesterday, which carries him through the 2021-2022 season. Bednar was heading into the last year on his contract. General manager Joe Sakic says the coach has earned the opportunity, guiding the team to a pair of consecutive playoff appearances.
