Colorado is getting a new landmark on Highway 145 between Cortez and Telluride. It's a massive boulder the size of a house that fell over the Memorial day weekend. Governor Jared Polis said the Boulder fell 2,000 feet and put an eight foot gash onto the road. He said the state will save $200,000 by routing the highway around the boulder rather than blasting it to bits. Polis said it will be called Memorial Rock because it fell on Memorial Day weekend and it will honor those who lost their lives for our country. Paperwork is being filed with the Federal Government to make the name official.
