President Trump delivered the commencement speech at the graduation for the 2019 class at the United States Air Force Academy on Thursday. He helped hand out diplomas to 991 cadets who will now become 2nd Lieutenants in the Air Force.
He told the graduates that they will be part of a modern fighting force that will include a space force.
The President rotates through the military academies each year and this year it was his turn to be at the Air Force Academy. He vowed to shake the hand of every graduate and congratulated their parents for raising "rock-ribbed American patriots."
