AAA Colorado says 785,000 Coloradans will be on the move during the Memorial Day weekend this year. 690,000 will be taking car trips, up 3.75 percent from a year ago. 70,000 will take a plane and 30,000 will ride on a bus or train or have booked a vacation cruise.
Gas prices in Colorado are up 30 cents a gallon over the last two months but travelers will pay just ten cents more per gallon over the holiday weekend than they did last year. Coloradans making road trips can expect to find gas prices ranging from $2.95 to $3.25 per gallon.
