Lakewood police say one of their officers and two other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries Saturday morning. The officer was investigating a DUI driver near S. Wadsworth Boulevard and Morrison Road. They say there were two marked Lakewood Police Vehicles on the scene with their emergency lights on. Officers say another driver, 21 year old Casey Lavia crashed her car into the police vehicle. Lavia and the suspect from the initial incident were charged with suspicion of driving under the influence.
