The University of Colorado's Board of Regents is scheduled for a final vote on Presidential finalist Mark Kennedy in Denver Thursday. The Board voted unanimously 9-0 to approve Kennedy as the lone finalist for the position two weeks ago. Since then, some students have protested Kennedy's past history as a republican lawmaker in Minnesota. CU's faculty council is also opposing Kennedy's nomination.
There are two sessions scheduled at Krugman Hall on the Anschutz campus Thursday afternoon - a private executive session, followed by a public meeting. A vote regarding the position of president must take place during a public session. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.
