Governor Jared Polis has announced that Colorado will hold its Presidential Primary Election on March 3rd of next year. That date is Super Tuesday when several states will be holding primaries including delegate rich Texas and California. Voters approved a ballot measure to do away with the caucus system for presidential races. The also voted to allow unaffiliated voters to participate in partisan primaries. Governor Polis says Colorado will get plenty of attention because our state remains a ""purple swing state" in the general election. The state could also be targeted by a candidate seeking to show broad appeal needed to win in November.
