Senator Michael Bennet's office says he had successful surgery for prostate cancer last weekend. Bennet is now cancer free and no further treatment is required.
Bennet was given the cancer diagnosis when he went in for a check-up a few weeks ago. At the time, he was organizing a run for President . He put the presidential bid on hold pending the outcome of surgery.
It's now expected he is likely to enter race for the Democratic nomination but no formal decision has been made.
