Denver ranks 9th in the nation for solar power use. That's according to the Shining Cities report released by Environment America. The organization looked at 57 cities across America. Denver has doubled its solar capacity over the past three years. Mayor Hancock says "9th doesn't get you into the playoffs." He says he won't be satisfied until Denver is number one.
Environment Colorado says, using existing rooftops, Denver could easily increase its solar capacity seven fold.
