Colorado's freeze-thaw climate has created a bumper crop of potholes in the Metro Area. Denver has eight, three person crews working to fill them. Every year the city fills at estimated 60,000 to 100,000 road craters.
Skyler McKinley with AAA Colorado says the average car repair for pothole-caused damage is $300. But some repairs can cost up to a thousand dollars.
To avoid damage, make sure your tires are properly inflated and that you avoid puddles that may be hiding a pothole.
