Colorado ski areas are loving the enormous snow totals from the early March storm that left up to 45 inches of snow in some resorts, according to Colorado Ski Country USA. Copper Mountain got 42 inches or three an a half feet of fresh snow. Loveland got 33 inches to go past the 300 inch mark for the season and Arapahoe Basin ski area saw 32 inches between Friday and Monday. In the central part of the state, Aspen Snowmass also received more than three feet of snow with Aspen Highlands reporting 38 inches and Aspen Mountain getting 32 inches. In the Southern part of the state, Silverton Mountain got 45 inches. The mountains will get a break from the snow today so they can plow the roads and do some avalanche mitigation work before they get more snow later this week.
