Rockies all star third baseman Nolan Arenado became emotional as he discussed the record breaking 8 year deal to keep him in a Rockies Jersey for the next 8 years. Arenado said he did a lot of research and did not make the decision lightly. But, he believes in the team and believes they can win. Arenado thanked God for the blessing to get him to this point and for keeping him healthy. Rockies General Manager Jeff Bridich said Arenado is one of the best players to ever play the game. Bridich said he's happy to keep an original Rockie in the purple pinstripes like Charlie Blackmon last year and Todd Helton before them.
