Showing a united front, the democrat members of Colorado's Congressional delegation held a news conference to call on President Trump to end what is now the longest government shutdown in history.
Senator Michael Bennet and Reps. Diana DeGette, Ed Perlmutter, Joe Neguse and Jason Crow stood with federal workers at Denver International Airport to say the shutdown must end. They say they would be willing to discuss border security but in broader terms than the wall President Trumps favors. They said the President is using federal workers as pawns to get his way.
Congressman Ed Perlmutter says the President hasn't been sincere about negotiating a resolution. He noted the President walked out of the room and quickly ended the last meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Meanwhile, Republican Doug Lamborn tells KOA Newsradio that democrats "haven't gotten to the point where they are really serious about border security."
