A group called Decriminalize Denver wants city voters to decide of the use of magic mushrooms should be allowed in Denver. They claim psilocybin mushrooms have health benefits for people suffering from cancer and complex PTSD as well as a host of other ailments
They turned in 9,000 signatures, double the number needed, to qualify for the city ballot. If enough signatures are verified, Denver voters will decide the issue.
The ballot initiative would allow for private use of magic mushrooms and would make enforcement against mushroom use a low priority.
