Former Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders Retires

The NFL journey has ended for wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

After 12 years in the league, Sanders announced his retirement on Wednesday.

Sanders, 34, played with the Broncos for nearly six seasons (2014-1019) and was a member of the team that beat the Carolina Panthers, 24-10, in Super Bowl 50. He caught six passes for 83 yards in the Super Bowl.

Sanders had 704 receptions for 9,245 yards and 51 touchdowns. During his time with the Broncos, Sanders caught 404 passes for 5,361 yards and 28 scores.

The Broncos traded Sanders to the San Francisco 49ers during the 2019 season.

Sanders broke into the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the 49ers, and the New Orleans Saints before playing in one game with the Buffalo Bills in 2021.
