Nuggets Hold Off Warriors, 126-121, To Stay Alive In Series

The season was on the line for the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

And the Nuggets kept it going with a 126-121 win over the Golden State Warriors in game four of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs at Ball Arena.

The Nuggets now trail the series three games to one.

The Nuggets built a 63-52 lead at halftime but in the third quarter, the Warriors made a move.

After a basket by Nikola Jokic gave the Nuggets a 74-59 lead with 8:40 to go in the third, the Warriors went on an 8-0 run to get back within seven points.

But the Nuggets steadied themselves and led 98-89 after three quarters.

In the fourth quarter, the Warriors twice cut the Nuggets lead to six points, then got within 117-116 on Andrew Wiggins' dunk with 2:28 left.

Stephen Curry's long two-pointer put Golden State up 121-119 at the 1:21 mark.

The Nuggets responded with seven straight points. Will Barton's three-pointer from the left corner sealed the game with 8.3 seconds remaining and allowed the Nuggets to survive in the series.

Jokic scored 37 points and eight rebounds. He added six assists. Monte Morris had 24 points. Aaron Gordon went for 21 points and six rebounds.
