Nuggets Stumble In Second Quarter, Fall To Spurs, 116-97

Well that wasn't very good.

The Denver Nuggets stubbed their toe in a big way in the second quarter and that allowed the San Antonio Spurs to get a 116-97 win on Tuesday night at Ball Arena.

The Spurs outscored the Nuggets, 32-14, in the second quarter to grab a 64-44 lead at halftime.

Nikola Jokic had 41 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.

The Nuggets missed a chance to clinch a playoff spot. The Spurs secured a place in the postseason play-in tournament and eliminated the Lakers from the postseason.. Los Angeles lost to Phoenix, 121-110.
