When the Colorado Avalanche had to have a goal, Nathan MacKinnon delivered.
MacKinnon scored 52 seconds into overtime to give the Avs a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night at Ball Arena.
The game-winner came after Evander Kane tied the game 2-2 at 9:01 of the third period.
Mikko Rantanen scored Colorado's first two goals. Darcy Kuemper was again solid between the pipes. He made 23 saves.
The Avalanche continues to play incredibly well at home. The Avs are now 25-3-3 at Ball Arena.
