Unfortunately for the Denver Nuggets, the Golden St. Warriors saved their best play for the last few minutes of the game.
The result was a 113-102 Warriors win on Thursday night at Ball Arena.
Trailing 102-100 with 3:10 left, Golden St. clamped down on defense and had enough offense down the stretch, finishing the game on a 13-0 run. The Nuggets did not score again after Aaron Gordon hit a pair of free throws at the 3:10 mark.
The Nuggets were looking to make it a season sweep of the Warriors. They will have to settle for taking three out of four against Golden St.
Denver was playing its fourth game in five nights.
Center Nikola Jokic led Denver with 23 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Monte Morris had 19 points and went 3-5 from three-point range. Bones Hyland added 10 points.
The Nuggets will take on the Toronto Raptors at Ball Arena on Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. MST.
