The Colorado State Rams wrapped up a terrific 2021 regular season with a thrilling 71-68 win over the Boise St. Broncos.
The Rams led 47-36 a minute-and-a-half into the second half but the Broncos came back and reeled off a 22-11 run to tie the game at 58 with 7:38 to go.
Colorado State took the lead for good, 69-68, on James Moors' layup with 56 seconds left.
Senior forward David Roddy led the Rams with 23 points on 10-17 shooting. Guard Kendall Moore had 19 points (7-9 from the field) and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Boise St. still finishes first in the Mountain West Conference with a 15-3 regular season record, 24-7. The Rams swept the two games this year.
CSU is 24-4 overall, 14-4 in conference play.
CSU's first game in the Mountain West Conference Tournament will be on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. MST. The Rams will play the winner of Wednesday's Utah St.-Air Force game.
