The Denver Nuggets had a night on Friday.
Not only did they defeat the Houston Rockets, 116-101, but they got a couple of terrific performances.
Will Barton set the franchise record for most three-pointers made as he went 2-6 from long distance and scored 11 points.
Center DeMarcus Cousins got the start for Nikola Jokic, who was a late scratch with an illness (not COVID).
Cousins scored 31 points on 10-14 from the field and he brought down nine rebounds.
Barton now has 769 three-pointers in his career, passing the previous record held by JR Smith.
The Nuggets trailed by one point after one quarter but had a 51-46 lead at halftime. They then outscored the Rockets 34-26 in the third quarter to create some separation.
The Nuggets host the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, March 6 at 6 p.m. MST.
