That loss certainly was not in the plans of the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.
The Nuggets faltered in the second half and fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 119-107, at Ball Arena.
Down 57-55 at intermission, the Thunder outscored the Nuggets 31-22 in the third quarter to grab an 86-79 lead heading to the fourth.
OKC was five points better in that final period and snapped the Nuggets six-game winning streak.
Nikola Jokic led Denver with 22 points, 16 rebounds and four assists. Bones Hyland added 19 points off the bench. Jokic was the only Nuggets starter to score in double figures.
The Nuggets shot only 44.4% from the field on 40-of-90. Denver made just 12-46 (26.1%) attempts from three-points range. The starting five was 1-25 from long range.
Next, the Nuggets host the Houston Rockets on Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m. MST.
