Monte Morris hit a huge three-pointer to break a 110-110 tie with 27.9 seconds remaining and helped the Denver Nuggets beat the Sacramento Kings, 115-110.
The win was the Nuggets fifth straight and seventh in the last eight games.
Morris' basket enabled the Nuggets to sweep the home-and-home set with the Kings. Denver won in Sacramento, 128-110, on Thursday night.
Saturday night's game was competitive.
After leading 38-30 after one quarter, the Nuggets saw the Kings outscore them 29-21 in the second quarter to go into halftime tied at 59.
Both teams scored 26 points in the third quarter to set up Morris' heroics down the stretch. Morris scored 21 points (8-13 from the field, 5-6 from three-point range)
Aaron Gordon led Denver with 23 points (8-12 shooting) and nine rebounds. Nikola Jokic had another triple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
The Nuggets play the second of back-to-back games on Sunday February 27 at Portland. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. MST.
