#23 Rams Get By Lobos, 80-74

Sometimes it's all about finding a way to win.

The 23rd-ranked Colorado State Rams did that on Wednesday night.

The Rams got by the New Mexico Lobos, 80-74, to run their record to 14-1. That ties the best start in CSU history.

The Rams stretched a five-point halftime lead to 47-36 with just under 17 minutes to play. But the Lobos reeled off 11 straight points to tie the game.

CSU got two straight buckets from Chandler Jacobs and took a 60-57 lead with 7:38 to go. The Rams never trailed the rest of the way.

Rams forward David Roddy led the way with 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Guard Isaiah Stevens added 16 points. Guard Chandler Jacobs chipped in 12 off the bench.

3,850 students attended the game and helped create some Moby magic in Fort Collins. That is a school record for student attendance at a men's basketball game.

Along with its 14-1 overall record, CSU is 4-1 in the Mountain West Conference. New Mexico slips to 7-11, 0-5.
