Nikola Jokic continues to amaze.
And he continues to carry the Denver Nuggets.
His latest tour de force was his tenth triple-double of the season in Wednesday night's thrilling 130-128 overtime win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Jokic poured in 49 points, hauled down 14 rebounds and handed out 10 assists, the last of which was a cross-court beauty of a pass to Aaron Gordon, who drilled a three-pointer from the right corner to break a 127-127 tie with 1.9 seconds left.
With the game tied at 81 after three quarters, the Clippers built a 108-100 advantage with 4:01 to go in regulation. But the Nuggets fought back with an 8-0 run to tie the game at 108 on Jokic's two-plus-one three-point play with two minutes remaining.
Will Barton's layup with 26.9 seconds left evened the game and turned out to be the basket that forced overtime.
Jokic finished 16-25 from the field and 14-16 from the free throw line. He added a trio of three-pointers and three steals. According to Nuggets PR, Jokic, Larry Bird and Russell Westbrook are the only players in NBA history with 49+ points, 14+ rebounds, 10+ assists and 3+ steals in a game.
Gordon scored 28 points on 10-16 shooting. Monte Morris added 19 points and 10 assists.
Denver is 3-1 on its current six-game homestand which continues when the Nuggets host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, January 21 at 7 p.m. MST.
